The National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) establishes the maximum tolerated limits (MTL) for mycotoxins in food through the Collegiate Board Resolution nº 7/2011. This resolution has four appendixes that list and classify the food, and establish the MTL for aflatoxins, fumonisins, zearalenone, deoxynivalenol, ochratoxin A e patulin.

• RDC 07/2011 and its changes

      According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA), the maximum permitted level for aflatoxins is 50 µg kg^-1 in any raw material or feed destined to animal consumption in Brazil (MAPA, 1988).
